Home+ 6 App Reviews

A fair review

I have several HomeKit devices and run home bridge on a sever for the few devices that are not HomeKit compatible. This app works as its advertised, however I am rating it only 4 stars because of the Appearance of the app mostly. For $15 I was expecting more. I guess the company was looking for usability however I just cant get past the plain boring app, no icons no colors just text. If this app had the functionality that it does but the GUI of say the Lutron Caseta app then I would pay 24.99 for it. I think it is an ok start but it needs a full makeover, reminds me of an app on my iPhone 3G. I mostly have been using insteon + app which you can use without any insteon devices for free. I am looking for an app I can throw on an iPad mini and mount it to the wall and this is definitely not an app you want to Show your friends. Haha

The only game in town so far

This is really the only complete app for a HomeKit power user at the moment. The developer has done a pretty good job keeping the app clean and useable and not getting GUI elements in the way. I have no idea how anyone could compare this to the pretty, but relatively incomplete free apps out there attempting to do the same thing. And to give this a low rating because you didn’t read the description for what it does is just plain STUPID! Just goes to show ya!

Buggy

After setting up my stuff with this app for the first time, things were going great. Then one day the app suddenly decided that it couldnt use location services, even though I had allowed it. The only way to fix this was to delete all the app data. While re setting everything up, i was setting up the different scenes and for the life of me couldnt get some settings to stick. Even after trying 20+ times, they wouldnt take. Its absolutely infuriating. I have no idea how such a simple thing can be screwed up. Update, March 2016: After taking a road trip, I returned home to find that the app had lost all its data. This is ridiculous.

Does its job very well, but very ugly interface.

Works fantastic! full control of HomeKit, can use all the different brands in one place. Interface though is horrible... Icons, color, images would be great.

Not worth the money

many FREE apps have same or even more features than this app. Search HomeKit, you will get a bunch of free apps. But this one charges 14.99$. Dont buy it. Not worth the money.

Easy and fun!

The app has allowed me to setup my whole house using the Hue bulbs. I do have to confess, I found it confusing at first and wrote the developer. Once he told me where to look to setup rooms, the bottom left, I was embarrassed I had not looked there. I kept looking at the top and sides. I was impressed to receive a speedy response. I felt important and stupid. Ha! I love the APP and their commitment to quality.

Horrible App- worse, I paid so much

Eve is a free app and did everything I require. This app, I paid so much for, wouldnt even do basics. Warning-Do not buy.

Required purchase for HomeKit

So good its hard to believe its not native. Must-have for serious home automation enthusiasts.

Well made and useful app

Using this on Lutron lights, and it works very well. Developer is also quite responsive. $15 is a lot, but this is a full featured Homekit app regardless of the brand of your devices.

Best HomeKit app. Period.

Ive used a variety of HomeKit apps that are designed to collect all your supported devices into one are. This is hands down the best HomeKit app. Well worth the price.

Better than ever

This version tidies up a lot of little inconsistencies and inconveniences. This is really a must-have app for any HomeKit user.

Incredible Update!!

The best keeps getting better!!! Worth every penny!

Good update

I like this new update. The developers finally added color icons into the program which make the app a lot easier to use when you have a lot of HomeKit devices.

Good update

Really appreciate the expanded support for the ecobee3 thermostat in this release.

Finally!

Finally an app that ties all my devices together! This guy is well written and performs well. I have been wondering if I was destined to have a separate app for each of my devices. Homes ties them all together. The app doesnt crash, unlike iDevices app, and the UI is well designed having a solid straightforward feel that makes sense once you get the hang of it. Theres lots to like about this app and if enough people are willing to pony up 15 bucks to buy it, I suspect it will get a lot better.

Cheezy.

Not enough icons. Not a user friendly app. No cohesion. Wink app is on the right track

Great update

The latest update brings a lot of usability enhancements and makes the app a pleasure to use.
